IPC-A-610
The IPC-A-610 certification teaches participants how to effectively inspect and approve commonly encountered assemblies in the electronic assembly environment. It is based on a standard published by IPC titled “Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies.”
IPC/WHMA-A-620
The IPC/WHMA-A-620 was developed in conjunction with the WHMA, Wire Harness Manufacturing Association and is the industry standard for cable and wire harness fabrication and installation.
IPC/WHMA-A-620 Space
The 620 Space Addendum takes the 620 course to an entirely higher level of performance. This course is for assemblies that must endure extreme levels of vibration and thermal cycling environments such as military applications and space travel. The space addendum uses all the WHMA-A-620 CLASS 3 and augments that with additional criteria.
IPC 7711/7721
IPC 7711/7721 training is an advanced soldering course for anyone responsible for quality control of refurbished or repaired electronics.
J-STD-001
This standard describes the materials, methods, and acceptance criteria for producing electronic assemblies. This course covers the essentials for the entire manufacturing process from material handling to final inspection. A significant portion of this class involves hands-on lab work.
J-STD-001 Space Addendum
The J-STD Space Addendum is used in addition to the J-STD and in some cases, in place of, for assemblies that must survive the extreme vibration and thermal cyclic environments in space and military applications.
Soldering Custom Lab
Our advanced hands-on soldering course teaches students to recognize the five steps that need to happen before beginning the soldering process. Each of these steps assures that the technician knows the important questions about the materials they are using in the soldering process, from choosing the correct solder to correct cleaning methods.
Cable-Wire/Harness Lab
This course covers all the basics of creating a class 3+ wire harness. Defects in wiring harnesses is one of the biggest problems in the electronics industry today. This course will teach the student to interpret drawings and build cable/wire harness bundles. This is a hands-on lab.
ESD Certification
The ESD certification course is based on the industry-recognized ANSI/ESD S20.20 standard. This course teaches the best practices for ESD prevention and control. This course is designed for technicians and inspectors.
Advanced Engineering Lab [full customization available]
This course reviews all the basics of creating class 3+ solder connections. This course covers many of the thing that college engineering classes failed to teach. This course examines deficiencies that are very common; weaknesses that affect manufacturing, rework, and customer satisfaction. Soldering.biz has taken the feedback from countless technicians, customers, and engineers who interface with us and designed the class to reinforce and more teach the hands-on skills needed to produce class 3+ solder connections. Understanding the nuances of fluxes and how they are critical to good solder connections, as well as correct cleaning of materials, and the consequences of poor/no cleaning affects the integrity of the product are but a few of the areas covered in this course.
This course is custom fit to either surface/through-hole soldering, and/or Cable/wire harness assembly. Tooling verification;
